Undergraduate Student Senate at Virginia Tech

We are USS at Virginia Tech. The voice of every Hokie, for every Hokie. The Undergraduate Student Senate (USS) is the official governing body of undergraduate students at Virginia Tech. Through representing over 30,000 undergraduate Hokies within the shared governance system, creating legislative recommendations that supports a positive and inclusive student experience, and disseminating a portion of the student activity fee to registered student organizations, we are a group of servant leaders here to serve you!

Hey Hokies!

Welcome to the Undergraduate Student Senate (USS) website. We are dedicated to listening to student voices and amplifying those voices within and beyond our senate. USS is the only unicameral student government in the country, and our structure is different, so that our mission, goals, and values represent Virginia Tech and its students to the highest extent. Our focus is on the student experience, and we pride ourselves on our partnerships with students, administration, along with faculty and staff. The USS is a growing organization, and I’m so proud of how far we come! We additionally offer many resources for students. Whether it be mental health, domestic violence, discrimination, substance use, etc., we can put you in contact with the right people to best serve you! One of our top values is approachability, as our website is easy to navigate and open to anyone! Follow our Instagram to stay in the loop. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at uss@vt.edu. Go Hokies!
